There are government agencies that are prepared to assist travelers with disabilities — The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The agencies have resources available online to help.
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
The DOT Aviation Consumer Protection Division (ACPD) reviews and responds to consumer complaints and helps all people understand their rights under the law. The DOT website contains information on what to do if you have a problem while traveling and how to submit a complaint online.
Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
You can get information about TSA, and share complaints and comments, in the TSA Contact Center. If you want to submit a complaint, you may also fill out the TSA Complaint Form.
