WASHINGTON (January 10, 2020) — Paralyzed Veterans of America Executive Director Carl Blake issued the following statement regarding the announcement that Kansas Republican Sen. Jerry Moran has been named as the new chairman of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, replacing former Georgia Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson who retired at the end of 2019:

“We have worked closely with Chairman Moran since he first began serving on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. Chairman Moran’s years of experience championing veterans’ issues make him uniquely suited to lead the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee. We look forward to collaborating with Chairman Moran in his new role as we continue to address issues affecting catastrophically disabled veterans, their families, and caregivers.”
