Each year, Paralyzed Veterans of America gathers friends, partners, supporters, veterans and their families together for a celebration called the Mission: ABLE Awards. Held in Washington, DC, these awards honor those who painstakingly work to create an America where our veterans are able to access everything they need to live full and rewarding lives.
About the Mission: ABLE Awards
The Mission: ABLE Awards recognize those who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and fought for expanded rights for the 22 million courageous veterans, 56.7 million people with disabilities, and 800,000 Americans living with a spinal cord injury or disease.
During this special evening, awards are given to individuals, organizations and supporters whose commitment to paralyzed veterans and their families goes above and beyond. Awards are given in the following categories:
The Access: ABLE Award
For leadership in making the world accessible to those with disabilities.
The Employ: ABLE Award
For leadership to end veteran unemployment.
The Sustain: ABLE Award
For leadership and financial support of Paralyzed Veterans of America’s mission, programs and services.
About the Event
The Mission: ABLE Awards provides a unique opportunity for guests to network with distinguished individuals, elected officials, senior military, Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Agency leadership, and corporate and philanthropic leaders.
