Scootaround to Donate $1 for Every Customer Donation in Support of Paralyzed Veterans’ Mission: ABLE Campaign
Paralyzed Veterans of America is pleased to announce that Scootaround Inc. is supporting Paralyzed Veterans’ Mission: ABLE campaign, through a year-long customer donation program. Beginning November 14, 2011, through November 30, 2012, Scootaround will donate $1 to Paralyzed Veterans for each single customer donation they receive through their international customer center.
Scootaround is the nation’s leading mobility enhancement company providing scooter and wheelchair rental service in more than 1,500 cities and cruise ports throughout North America and worldwide. Customers can arrange worry-free rentals through a 7-day toll-free number or via its full-featured website. Scootaround has developed associates throughout North America to meet the most diverse travel needs from conventions to business travel to vacations and cruises. Scootaround also provides passenger equipment repair service to many of the major airlines throughout North America.
“We are very proud of our association with Paralyzed Veterans and very excited to be a part of the Mission: ABLE campaign,” said Lee Meagher, CEO of Scootaround. “A great many of our customers are veterans and it's always a special privilege to assist them in their travels. We pride ourselves in the service we provide to thousands of travelling customers each and every day.”
Mission: ABLE was designed to enlist Americans—citizens, communities and corporations—to help ensure our paralyzed heroes are provided the physical care needed to live a healthy life, receive the benefits they’ve earned through military service and have the resources to obtain job training and opportunities for new and fulfilling careers.
“We thank Scootaround for joining us in our mission of ensuring that our veterans get the care, benefits and jobs they’ve earned and deserve,” said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. “Without the support of corporations like Scootaround, we wouldn’t be able to provide all the services to our veterans that they need in order to live full, productive and independent lives.”
The Scootaround donation campaign to benefit Paralyzed Veterans will be featured across the company’s 1,500 locations throughout North America; 100% of the donations collected will benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America.
