The 2011 Paralyzed Veterans Americana Gala is an inspirational fundraising event celebrating individuals, corporate and public sector friends who have supported the organization, 25 million courageous veterans, 54 million people with disabilities and 12,000 new spinal cord injured individuals annually.

National Veterans Wheelchair Games (NVWG)
2012 Disabled Sports, Recreation and Fitness ExpositionThe Disabled Sports, Recreation & Fitness Exposition presents a promising opportunity to connect with more than 1000 wheelchair athletes, disabilities coaches, caregivers, VA staff, medical personnel and more. OPERATION: PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment) OPERATION: PAVE, Paralyzed Veterans’ vocational rehabilitation program, supports America’s paralyzed veterans in their search for good jobs and meaningful careers while helping employers strengthen their workforce with hard-working, gifted employees.
Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open Proceeds from the Paralyzed Veterans Golf Open benefit OPERATION: PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment), Paralyzed Veterans’ vocational rehabilitation program. Underwritten by Agility, the PVGO has raised more than 1.2 million for PAVE. Summit 2012 + EXPOParalyzed Veterans’ Summit 2012 + EXPO will bring together more than 700 healthcare professionals in spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis care. Doctors, nurses, OT/PTs, social workers and researchers will convene to explore and implement holistic strategies to strengthen the continuum of care for SCI and MS patients.

Every year, the Paralyzed Veterans of America co-presents the Wheelchair Games, the largest annual wheelchair sporting event in the world, with the Department of Veterans Affairs. More than 600 veteran wheelchair athletes compete in 17 sporting events as a form of rehabilitative therapy to foster better physical, mental and social health to improve their quality of life. The Games introduce veterans with disabilities to a variety of adaptive sports, promote awareness of spinal cord injury and disease and build a community for those facing the unique challenge of life with a disability.
