Team PVA is a multi-sport team consisting of able-bodied and disabled athletes competing in multi-sports races around the country, all while raising funds and awareness for the Paralyzed Veterans of America Sports Program.
99% of all of the funds raised go right back into helping our wounded and disabled veterans, as well as disabled active duty military, participate in the sports and recreational activities they took part in before being injured including triathlon, duathlon, marathon, handcycle racing, bike racing, etc. These sports events promote a lifetime of health, fitness and wellness while providing opportunities for those with disabilities to gain sports skills and be among other athletes with disabilities.
Team PVA will be participating in some of the biggest triathlon venues in 2010. These venues would include Eagleman 70.3, NYC Triathlon, Ironman Miami 70.3, Ironman St. George, Ironman Couer d’Alene, Ironman Arizona, and the New York City Marathon. 2010 will be the biggest year of racing and fundraising the team will have taken part in!
All triathlons that the team takes part in are USA Triathlon-sanctioned races. To learn more about USA Triathlon, please visit their website.
