TITLE: Administrative Assistant

SUPERVISOR: Director of Corporate Development & Cause Campaigns
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provides administrative, fulfillment and event management support to Corporate Development. Also provides broad administrative support as needed to the Development Department. 
REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of administrative experience. Prior program assistant/executive assistant experience preferred. Successful candidate will possess excellent general administrative skills (typing, filing, copying, etc.), good oral/written communications skills, and good project/event management skills, be detail-oriented, and have good organizational skills. The candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office XP and be able to work independently. Familiarity with Team Approach, cVent, or comparable software is preferred. The ability to travel and work overtime may be needed.

TITLE: Digital Content Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To compose, edit and post content on PVA’s website, positioning the homepage as a key source for news and information promoting PVA’s mission, messaging, branding, programs and advocacy agendas to target audiences. Additional duties include: supplement articles, blogs and other digital content with photographs and video as needed to increase impact and assist digital team with production of social media content, upgrading graphics and developing new pages as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience writing for and managing websites and social media channels, including blogs, editing news/features content for a wide range of audiences. The selected candidate will have a sophisticated knowledge of content management systems and good working knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, search engine optimization, Google Analytics, project management, and analytical software. Experience using Final Cut Pro video editing software required. The ideal candidate will have experience in news gathering and planning with a keen sense of news and news worthiness. The ideal candidate will also possess good project management skills and have the ability to work with staff on all levels of the organization. Prior experience in non-profit organizations preferred. Knowledge of veterans’ issues and Associated Press Style preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent years experience in an administrative and/or office management environment. Minimum of four years experience as an executive assistant and/or administrative experience in an executive level environment. Prior experience in Finance/Bookkeeping and electronic filing systems preferred. The candidate should be or willing to become a DC notary public. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategy to reach revenue goals; manage, sustain and nurture existing relationships and engage and pursue new sponsorship partners. The ideal candidate will also cultivate a portfolio of prospective partners to expand the partner base through research, cold-calls, networking and working with a strong volunteer Leadership Committee.
REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or related field. Five or more years experience in developing and managing fundraising programs and managing corporate development relationships. The selected candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to attend to day-to-day details without losing sight of mid and long term objectives along with the ability to be customer service focused and anticipate needs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. The selected candidate must also be extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize tasks. In addition, the selected candidate will have excellent judgment, writing/oral communication skills, analytical skills and closing skills. The selected candidate will be responsible, dependable and comfortable in all professional settings while displaying the highest level of integrity. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for supporting and managing various fundraising diversification and motorsports fundraising programs including the development of new revenue channels in addition to established non-traditional fundraising initiatives. Provide non-supervisory management of cross-functional teams involving employees, chapters and consultants.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, and/or business with three plus years experience in event management and/or marketing activation.  The selected individual must have demonstrated success in developing and managing new business programs and events.  Prior experience in managing consultant relationships including management of both quantitative and qualitative research is required.  The selected candidate will have established success in managing cross-functional teams and have the ability to work well under stress with tight deadlines.  Ideal candidate will have demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Proven organization, project management, and customer service skills are a must.  Must be computer proficient and have experience in MS Office, Novell GroupWise, and Citrix.  Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.  The selected candidate may reside in the Washington, DC area or any mutually agreed upon location with the United States.

TITLE: Veterans Health & Benefit Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Veterans Benefits
SUPERVISOR: Region Director
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities entail the selected individual to represent, counsel and provide support to veterans and their dependents on all aspects of benefits and health care before the Department of Veterans Affairs.   This includes claim development, clinical appeals, and medical monitoring.  The position includes familiarity with a full range of laws and regulations dealing with Veterans Benefits.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least two (2) years experience in health care advocacy and/or direct delivery of health services (e.g. nurse, medic, corpsman, social worker). Familiarity with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), case management techniques, and clinical record interpretation highly preferred.  The selected applicant will have excellent written/oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and good computer skills.  The candidate must also obtain and maintain VA accreditation. Honorably discharged veteran preferred but not required.
