GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provides administrative and office management support to the AED, Medical Services staff and Health Policy staff.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or the equivalent years of experience as an Executive Assistant and a minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative and office management capacity. Successful candidate will possess excellent administrative skills (typing, filing, copying, etc.), good oral/written communications skills, be detail-oriented, and have good organizational skills. The candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office XP, be able to work independently and handle confidential matters. Must be a team player and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting in the fulfillment of Paralyzed Veterans of America’s mission by providing professional expertise in the field of architecture. 
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, registration with 8-10 years strong architectural experience.  The selected candidate must be knowledgeable, articulate, and a motivated self starter.  Must be a licensed architect; currently registered by a state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. The incumbent shall have working knowledge of federal design standards (UFAS, ADAAG), national voluntary design standards (ANSI A117.1), International Building Code, and VA accessibility standards.  Healthcare experience is a plus. Travel required.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The selected candidate will be responsible for representing veterans and their dependents with claims processing/development before the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position includes familiarity with a full range of laws and regulations dealing with Veterans Benefits and the ability to perform various detailed and sometimes complex administrative tasks that require confidentiality and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS:

The selected candidate will have completed the National Service Officer training program with PVA or have a minimum of 4 years equivalent training and/or experience as a service officer in another organization.  Must be a high school graduate/GED equivalent and have a “service” oriented approach to client interaction, offering polite, professional, competent responses to client requests. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written/oral communication skills, strong interview techniques, good interpersonal skills, and good computer skills and be proficient in MS Office Suite.  The candidate must also maintain confidentiality in all client and personnel matters and must be able to obtain and maintain VA accreditation.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. An honorably discharged veteran is preferred.   Some travel required.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities entail the selected individual to represent, counsel and provide support to veterans and their dependents on all aspects of benefits and health care before the Department of Veterans Affairs.   This includes claim development, clinical appeals, and medical monitoring.  The position includes familiarity with a full range of laws and regulations dealing with Veterans Benefits.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least two (2) years experience in health care advocacy and/or direct delivery of health services (e.g. nurse, medic, corpsman, social worker). Familiarity with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), case management techniques, and clinical record interpretation highly preferred.  The selected applicant will have excellent written/oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and good computer skills.  The candidate must also obtain and maintain VA accreditation. Honorably discharged veteran preferred but not required.

The incumbent must have a minimum of two (2) years spinal cord injury and/or disease experience. A bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required and management training is a plus. Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with PTF, case management techniques and clinical record interpretation.  Some travel required.

TITLE: Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
DEPARTMENT: Veterans Benefits
SUPERVISOR: AED of Veterans Benefits
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will have specialized experience gained while working with vocational rehabilitation service programs at the Federal, State, Local or private sector levels which required performing initial evaluations; understanding entitlement determinations; rehabilitation planning; problem solving; case management; case documentation; employment service; administration and interpretation of vocational testing; instructing and interaction with a variety of clients, professionals and potential employers.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing counseling services to spinal cord injured veterans and other disabled veterans and coordinating the services necessary to prepare clients for suitable employment.
REQUIREMENTS:

A Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from an accredited university is required. The successful candidate must have and be able to maintain the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certificate. A minimum of 4 years experience in vocational rehabilitation in a government, non-profit, or private sector is preferred but not required.  The candidate must have excellent communication skills (i.e. written, oral), good computer skills, and must be able to work independently. Must be able to obtain and maintain the Department of Veterans Affairs accreditation for representatives.
